If you hold a bachelor’s degree, you can earn your Master of Science in Education (MSEd) with us and prepare to pursue Instructional I Certification in Pennsylvania.* If you’re interested in working with children with special educational needs, you can also pursue our MS in Special Education with Pre-K–12 Certification.
Both programs combine online coursework with student teaching experience supervised by experienced GMercyU faculty. You’ll gain insight into the history and politics behind our educational system along with practical skills for delivering lessons, managing your classroom, and working with colleagues and families to help students thrive.
Prepare for initial licensure as a teacher in Pennsylvania. Certification options include PK-4 education and secondary (grades 7-12) biology, mathematics, social studies, or English.
