A Master of Science in Special Education is an excellent option for educators seeking to strengthen their credentials in assisting students with cognitive differences, learning disabilities and/or autism spectrum disorders. According to the National Center for Education Statistics, 6.5 million children – or 13 percent of total public school enrollment – were served by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act as of the 2013-2014 school year.

Gwynedd Mercy University offers an accelerated, fully online program to obtain your MSSPE with 30 course credits. You may enroll as long as you already have a bachelor’s degree and an Instructional 1 Certification in any educational area. An additional certification in autism is available by completing 12 more credits.
