Online Certificate in School Counseling – PreK-12
Support the growth and development of preschool, primary, and secondary students as a school counselor. Gwynedd Mercy University offers an online certification program in School Counseling that is aligned with the American School Counselors Association (ASCA) National Model.
This 48-credit program is suitable for professionals who hold a master’s degree and who want to pursue a PreK-12 School Counseling certification. Depending on your previous experience and qualifications, you will complete a 100-hour practicum and/or two 210-hour internships at each level (PreK-8 and 9-12). No previous teaching certification is required.
This certification program fits your schedule, with online classes presented in an accelerated format. You will take one class at a time in seven-week blocks.
After completing this program and passing the Praxis II Professional School Counselor Examination, you will become eligible for School Counselor Certification in public schools.
